She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Roberts and G. W. Roberts; her siblings, Bobby, Albert and Alta Mae; her son Heath McMeans; and her grandson Joseph Phemister.
She is survived by: her husband Max McMeans of Haskell; and her children, Rick Phemister of Haskell, Randy (Lori Phemister), Melissa (Clay Bulls) and Misty (Paul Gibson). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous aunts, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Home (304 N 2nd St, Haskell, TX 79521). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Eastside Baptist Church (600 N 1st St, Haskell, TX 79521). A burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Willow Cemetery S 7th (914 S 7th St, Haskell, TX 79521).
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests to honor her by donating to East Side Baptist Church.
