With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marietta McWhorter (Haskell, Texas), born in Taylor, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2026 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy D. Heuermann and Alta M. Heuermann; her husbands, Tony McWhorter and David Lee Mitchell; her brothers, Bobby Gene Heuermann and Terry Glenn Heuermann; her son Jef McWhorter; her son-in-law David Asbill; and her son David Wayne Mitchell.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brandon Mitchell (Stephanie) of Midland, Jarred Mitchell (Amber) of Midland, Hunter Mitchell, Bonnie of Round Rock and Hailey Mitchell of Lubbock; her great grandchildren, Kylie of Midland, Brady (Marisol) of Stanton, Landon of Midland, Karsen of Midland and Hayden of Round Rock; her daughter Gail Asbil of Forney; her grandson Jason Price; her great grandchildren, Emma and Abby of Rockwall; her granddaughter Emily Law (Brad); her great grandchild Reese; her granddaughter Carolina Kile; her great grandchild Caden of Forney; her grandson Scott McWhorter of Dallas; her siblings, Lorraine Graham of Tuscola, Melva Dean Havener of Kerrville, Glenda Jo Newberry of Abilene and Gary Heuermann of Abilene; her brother-in-law Billy Mitchell; Eliana Grace of Stanton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
