Rufus A. Sanderlin Obituary

We announce the death of Rufus A. Sanderlin of Haslet, Texas, who passed away on August 18, 2026, at the age of 84. Rufus will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David K. Sanderlin and Jewell Sanderlin; his grandfather Bud; and his siblings, William Dale Sanderlin, Anna Green and Carolyn Brobst.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Sanderlin; his sons, Ed Sanderlin (Heather) and Rod Sanderlin (Danette); his grandchildren, Aston, Haven, Ayden and Landon; his friend Jessica; Tanner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requests donations, in lieu of flowers, to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, and can be made in Mr. Sanderlin's honor.
