He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Oral Evans and Faye Evans (LaGrone); and his sister Linda Nell Evans. He is survived by: his wife Katrina Smith; his children, Jodi Schuman (Luke), Jason Evans (Tiffany), Mikey Phillips (Teresa), Richard Phillips (Lillie), Aaron Spells (Karina) and Cam'ron Spells; his granddaughters, Maeley, Addyson, Paisyn, Lani, Landri and Lawsyn; and his cousins, Claudia, Sue and Diane.
Viewing was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Comanche Funeral Home (411 W Grand Ave, Comanche, TX 76442). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sardis Cemetery (543 Co Rd 313A, Comanche, TX 76442).
