We are sad to announce that on April 5, 2024, at the age of 83, Leon Wells of Hawkins, Texas, born in Mineola, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Leon Wells and Dora Belcher Wells; his former life partner Sallye Mitchell Wells of Hawkins; and his great grandchildren, Edith Brooke and Mary Ann Wells.

He is survived by : his wife Rene Brown Wells of Hawkins; his children, Michael (Chanyce) of Longview, Larry (Deana) of Hoover, Mathis (Karla) of Hawkins and Laurie of Troup, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Brandon, Mitchell Wells, Tiffany, Patrick Wells, Kyndall, Zakary Wells and Katy Preston.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home - Hawkins (602 Blackbourn St, Hawkins, TX 75765). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (10 Forest St, Hawkins, TX 75765).
