He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Oscar and Velma Cora Meeks; his brothers, Roy Adams and Joe Meeks (Charlene Searcy Meeks); his son David Wesley Meeks; and his great grandchild Ivy Paige Humphrey.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Searcy; his children, Janece Hibler and Walter Donald Meeks II; and his uncle Buddy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
