He was predeceased by: his father John Dorman Chesser; his sons, Guy Chesser, Mark Chesser and Todd Chesser; his mother Ruby Lee Chesser (Peveto); his siblings, JD Chesser, Keith Chesser, Yvonne Chesser and Betty Jo Richter; and his grandson Roudy Odom (Sparkplug).
He is survived by: his wife Bilbie Chesser (Poole) of Hemphill; his children, Harold Lee "Butch" Chesser II of Vidor, Dawn Garig (Russell) of Zavalla, Tessa Bailey of Hemphill and Sherrie Chesser of Lufkin; and his siblings, Carolyn Godeaux (Vincent) of Vidor and Malcolm Chesser of Vidor. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 foster-grandchild; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Riley Funeral Home (913 US-190, Woodville, TX 75979). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Fairmount Cemetery.
