He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Clyde Horn and Wilma Lorraine Dorsey Horn; and his wife Gretchen Scholzchen Horn. He is survived by: his sons, Wade Horn and Clay Horn (Cindy); his sisters, Deloris Horn Goza and Joan Horn Abelman; and his grandchildren, Dallas Berthiaume, Paul Horn, Chris Horn, Ian Horn, Chris Mitchell and Christle Crawford. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A rosary was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Starr Funeral Home (510 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pius I Catholic Church (309 Starr St, Hemphill, TX 75948). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Magnolia Cemetery (2290 Pine St, Beaumont, TX 77703).
