She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Drate Bowman and Bess McElyea Bowman; her sons, Rod Smith (Wanda) of Kirbyville, Eric Smith of Arcadia and Chris Smith (Alma) of Bridge City, Texas; her sister Syble Allen of For Worth, Texas; her husband Ray Allen Smith; and her son Ray Allen Smith, Jr.. She was also cherished by eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
