He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harmon Craven and Mary Leavy Bates Craven; his brother Lee Craven; and his grandson Thomas Blake Sonnier. He is survived by: his wife Jean Craven of Hemphill; his daughters, Laura Sonnier (Ernie) of Orange, Karen Mann (Greg) of Groves and LaDonna Crumpton (Tom) of Tellico Plains, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Chase, Caitleigh, Morgan and Erik; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Blake, Ally, Riley, Chandler and Laiklynn; and his close friends, Gary Cato and Lee Matherne.
