He is survived by: his children, Kevin Blackford (Amber), Michael Blackford (Kathy) and Connie Mundy (Weldon); his grandchildren, Ricky Blackford (Charley), Kevin Mitcham (Makenzie), Justin DiIorio (Montanna), Jacob DiIorio (DeLaney), Meagan Conley (Chris), Cody Blackford (Juan), Tyler Blackford (Christina), Jordan Lettieri (Dan), Juli Melton (Craig), Haley Montez and Lee Mundy (Jucel); his great grandchildren, Bella, Kevin, Emma, Kassidy, Tate, Drew, Tristan, Rory, Rylee, Charlotte, Isaiah, Samuel, Tré, Mallory and Kaleesi Mundy; and his brother Daniel Blackford (Tina).
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pine Island Baptist Church (36573 Brumlow Rd, Pine Island, TX 77445).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pine Island Baptist Church in Hershel's memory.
