It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Nelms of Hempstead, Texas, born in Longview, Texas, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Calvin Nelms and Billie Nelms; and his brothers, Richard and Randy Nelms. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Nelms of Hempstead, TX; his sister Pam; his brother-in-law Roger Kulig of Sherman, TX; his daughters, Kristie (Sean Snell), Lorie (Russell Faulk) and Johanna (Will Schroeder); and his grandchildren, Tyler Snell, Hayden Faulk, Haylee Faulk, Garrett Snell, Natalie Schroeder and Chase Schroeder. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cowboy Church of Brenham (4440 TX-105, Brenham, TX 77833).
