It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Tommy Lee Braggs of Hempstead, Texas, who passed away on July 3, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn, family and friends. Tommy
Braggs was drafted into the US Army during his senior year at Prairie View A&M University. Tommy served honorably and fought in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home to Houston, Texas, Tommy was employed with US Steel until the company closed in Texas. Tommy then worked for Phillips Petroleum in Pasadena, Texas, until he retired. Tommy was a Father of one daughter, Grandfather of two and Great-Grandfather of three. Tommy loved his family unconditionally and was fervently present in his family's life. Tommy loved music and instilled that love of music in his daughter and grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family. Tommy was the best whistler, ever. He could whistle the tune of any song and command the interest of anyone fortunate enough to be in his presence. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
