He was predeceased by: his parents, Zeke Fergerson and Opal Fergerson (Wade); and his wife Patsy Fergerson. He is survived by: his children, Billy Fergerson (Dana) of Tyler and Sandy McMurray (Steve) of Henderson; his brother B. B. Fergerson (Betty) of Lakeport; his grandchildren, Christy Orr of Henderson, Ashley Holts (Chase) of Henderson, Alex Fergerson, Kallie Kuhagen of Chicago, Courtney Compton (Blake) of Ben Wheeler, Clay McMurray (Laura) of Richardson and Chad McMurray (Stacie) of North Carolina; his great grandchildren, Natalie Marable (Tyler), Sam McMurray, Gavin Kierce, Haiden McMurray, Cooper McMurray, Lyla McMurray, Maxley Holts and Ava Compton; and his close friend Ellie Ruth Glenn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
