Ervin M. Daugherty Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ervin M. Daugherty of Henderson, Texas, who passed away on October 25, 2023 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Daugherty and Minnie Daugherty; his former wife Robbie Sue Smith; his daughter Janet Sue; his wife Doris Dukes; his son Jackie (Linda); his great grandchild Ethan Hunley (Lucille Cook Henderson); his brothers, Jesse Ray (Flora) and John Cecil; his sister-in-law Margaret; his siblings, Adrian (Louise), Louie (Louise), Edith Smith (John), Myrtle Romans (Jesse) and Lula Belle Minton; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Engel and Ray Kessinger.

He is survived by: his sister Juanita Kessinger Engel of Hudson, IL; his daughters, Melanie Magness of Henderson and Cindy Duty (Kenneth) of Longview; his stepdaughters, Deborah Henderson McCoy (William) of Morgantown, KY and Pamela Henderson Burke (Kevin) of East Brunswick, NJ; his granddaughter Dana Baker (Scott) of Tyler; his stepdaughters, Angela Johnson (David) of Henderson, Jamie Baker (John) of Aurora, CO, Johnie Magness Evans of Henderson, Jaclyn Magness of Henderson and Jodi Magness Allen of Henderson; and his stepgrandchildren, Jeff Duty, Terri Smith and Kristie Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews great & great-great grandchildren.

“So sad to hear of Uncle Ervins death, but we know his lfe goes on in heaven and we will see him again someday. We are thinking of you all and you are in our prayers. It was truly a great pleasure to get to know Uncle Ervin over the years. He will be greatly missed. Terry and Cindy”
