He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Errette Morgan Hale and Vivian Dudley Hale; his wife Paula Propes Hale; his grandchildren, Pops, Olivia, Casey, Kathryn, Jane and Cody Jack Hale; his brother Jerry Hale (Toni) of Henderson; his niece Marla Sullivan (Mike) of Hallsville; his sister-in-law Pam Dean of Richardson; and his niece Mary Beth Ort (Rusty) of Richardson. He was also cherished by several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Hale and Mrs. Hale supported our kids from the time we moved to White Oak in 1998. He will be missed! May the peace of God rest and rule in your hearts now and in the days ahead. “Jack and Paula came to Freeport in 1968, and was a football coach and teacher when I was in 7th grade. He was also my Sunday school teacher at FBC Freeport, and taught math. He once told me, "boy, I was all over you". He stayed with us when we went to High School, and was part of our class of 1974 forever. He continued to attend our class reunions, and maintained relationships with us for more than 50 years. He was our coach, teacher, freind and mentor, for life. He will always be with us.”
