He was predeceased by: his father Albert Wayne Combs; his son Austin James Combs; his grandparents, Albert J. Combs, Annabel Combs, John Henry and Nellie Bearden; his mother-in-law Jerry Clark; and his close friend Danny Brandenburg.

He is survived by: his wife Charlie Combs of Wright City; his mother Sarah E. Combs of Carlisle; his daughters, Cary Cobden (Daniel) of Overton and Leandrea Mullins (Nathan) of Good Springs; his brother DeWayne Combs (Judy) of Troup; his grandchildren, Max Wayne Mullins, Cooper Eugene Mullins, Ellie Mae Mullins and Lilith James Cobden; his father-in-law James Clark of Turnertown; and his pets, Bella Rose Combs and Daisy Mullins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
