“Really sorry to hear about John. He was my Dad's (Ralph Proffitt) 1st Cousin. He was a few years older than me and I grew up hearing about his life and sports exploits from Mamma Nell and Chick. I wore a lot of his hand-me-downs that Nell and Chick would bring back from Texas. I was really impressed with his commitment and efforts with the School Explosion Museum. Enjoyed talking with him on the phone a few years ago where he gave me a detailed account of the School Explosion. Rob Proffitt”
