He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Carmen Buenrostro and Felisa Olvera; his wife Atanasia Buenrostro; his child Epifanio Buenrostro (Herminia); his siblings, Pedro, Vence, Apolinar, Adelaida and Maria; his son-in-law Ramon Elizondo; and his daughter Raquel Elizondo (Ramon).
He is survived by: his daughters, Margarita Rodriguez, Micaela Tinajero (J. Carmen), Rosa Buenrostro, Herminia Cortez (Efrain), Maria Camacho (Pedro) and Maricela Elizondo (Jose). He is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren, seventy great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
