He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Jerald Bennett and Annie Loveta Bridges Bennett; his son Joshua Bennett; and his siblings, Edwin Bennett, Melvin Bennett, Homer Morgan, Drucilla Dahlstrom, Sandra Hayden, Barbara Nease and Wanda Holland.

He is survived by: his wife Gayle Bennett; his children, Holly Scogin (Stephen Scogin), Kate Bennett (Eric Malone), Katya Warr (Micah Warr), William Bennett (Alyse Bennett) and Nicholas Bennett (Elizabeth Bennett); his sister Latricia Nichols; and his grandchildren, Peyton Scogin, Emily Scogin, Quentin Moon, Eden Warr, Elissa Warr, Jackson Bennett, Ava Bennett and Eli Thor Bennett.
