He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eunice Wilburn Jones of Tyler and Jabe Johnson (Louise); his children, Stacy Schuler (David) of Tyler, Jennifer, Romines of Tyler and Amanda Johnson (Renee) of Henderson; his great grandchildren, Brylie, Harlynn, Renn, Micah and William; his siblings, Lavalle Duncan (Jane) and Raye Youngblood; his wife Debra Johnson; and his siblings, Wilburn Johnson (Will), Jimmy Johnson, Jo Nell Lowrey, Helen Morris, Olin Johnson, Joe Gail Duncan and Kaye Munson.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to Hospice of East Texas.
