He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Dwire and Pauline Dwire (McBride); his sister Jimmie Dwire Boyd; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Elton Biscamp, Larry Lee Boyd and Judy Waldo Terry.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Terry Dwire of Henderson; his daughters, Melissa Jane Dwire of Longview and Rebecca Dwire Merritt (Loyd Vaughn Merritt II) of Arp; his siblings, Terry Dwire (Duanna) of Georgetown and Ann Dwire Biscamp of Crockett; his brother-in-law William R. "Bob" Terry (Ruby) of Shoreline, Washington; his grandsons, Christian Vaughn Merritt (Michele) of Whitehouse and Ford Rainey Merritt (Hannah) of Tyler; his great grandchildren, Eleanor Frances Merritt and Delilah Jane Merritt; his nieces and nephews, Sean Boyd, Megan Boyd Cook (Chris), Blake Dwire, Whitney Dwire, Adam Dwire (Jennifer), Andy Biscamp, Ashley Biscamp (Melissa), Ellen Terry Scheidt (Joe), Lauren Terry and Allison Terry Arnold; and his friends, Dr. David Craig, Wilbur Yates and Jack Ward. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crawford A. Crim Funeral Home (1414 S Main St, Henderson, TX 75654). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
