He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse C. Scott and Carmie Scott (Walker); and his sisters, Billie Young and Sally Knox. He is survived by : his wife Margaret Scott of Hereford, Texas; his children, Rebecca Day of Hereford, Texas and Jesse Scott (Elena) of Hereford, Texas; his grandchildren, Ruben Day, Sunny Day, Billy Trent Day, Robin Wheat, Dustin Scott, Margaret I. Smally, Jesse E. Scott, Jr. and Isball Scott; and his siblings, Don Scott (Pat) of Hereford, Terry Scott of Amarillo, Texas, Phyllis Sims (Dennis) of Panhandle and Kathy Guinn (Jimmy) of Amarillo, Texas.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
