With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gilbert Davis of Hereford, Texas, who passed away on July 9, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gilbert had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gilbert may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Franklin and Margaret Iown Davis (Gilbert); and his brothers, Wayne Franklin Davis and William Lansing Bargeron. He is survived by: his children, Savanna Davis of Valdosta, Georgia and Cody Parker of Valdosta, Georgia; the mother of his children Tracie Parker of Valdosta, Georgia; his siblings, Allen Bargeron (Sherry) of Hereford, Leah Helen Luke (Gene) of Griffin, Mimi Sharon Ingle of Cumming and Velma Louise Wise of Sarasota, Florida; and his grandchild Adalynn Lopez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Baptist Church (232 Arabia Church Rd, Homerville, GA 31634). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Arabia Cemetery.
