He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Skinny" Lee and Letha Mae Welty (Grant); and his brother-in-law Tom Moss. He is survived by: his daughters, Kerstin Kerr (Ryan) of Amarillo and Chelsea Welty (Jess Harman) of Amarillo; his siblings, John Welty (Brandy) of McLain and Cynthia Welty-Moss of Logan, N. M.; his grandchildren, Gavin, Ali Kerr and Adalee Harman; his nieces, Mara Maxwell of Dallas and Jolee Henry of Lubbock; and his former wife Tammy Welty of Amarillo.
