It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcus Tye McLean of Hereford, Texas, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 44, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Kunkel and SeLisa McLean (Stroope); and his grandparents, James and Carol Stroope. He is survived by: his children, James Britten McLean, Mary Anna of Gruver, Texas and Evelyn Faye McLean of Gruver, Texas; his sister Jamie Dark (John) of Cedar Park, Texas; his nephew Britten Dark of Cedar Park, Texas; his aunt Laurie Stroope of Amarillo, Texas; his stepmother Helen Kunkel of Austin, Texas; his sister Marie Kunkel of Dalhart Texas; the mother of his children Holly McLean of Gruver, Texas.; and his children, Annie and Evie.

In lieu of flowers, consider a gift to a memorial account with Happy State Bank in honor of Marcus for the benefit of his children, James, Annie, and Evie.
