She was predeceased by : her parents, Santos Garza and Emma Garza (Zapata); her daughter April Huerta; and her brother-in-law Jesus Maldonado. She is survived by : her children, Moyces Lamas (Tonya Alejandre) of Hereford, Texas, Erik Huerta (Maria) of Hereford, Texas and Carlos Huerta (Teresa) of Hereford, Texas; her grandchildren, Nahryah Hayes, Audrey Quiroz, Janae Claudio, Ashlynn Lamas, Zayden Elmquist, Mariah Rios, Zeon Escobedo, Giovanni Huerta, Natalie Huerta and Jazlyn Huerta; her great grandchild Eisael Gaona; her siblings, Viola Maldonado of Hereford, Ruben Garza (Nelda) of Ulysses, Rita Alejandre (Nestor) of Corpus Christi, Linda Escamilla (David) of Robstown, Texas and Angie Ross of Amarillo, Texas; and her pet Daisy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
