It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minerva Irene Ruiz-Ortiz of Hereford, Texas, who passed away on August 30, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramiro Ruiz Chacon and Irma Belia Ortiz Ruiz; her son Aaron Ivan Ruiz; her brothers, Isidro Ruiz and Mario Ruiz; and her nephew Luiz Alfredo Ruiz.
She is survived by: her daughter Tanya Ruiz of Amarillo, Texas; her grandchildren, Orlando Olvera, Ivan Dominguez and Yareli Fuentes; her brothers, Ramiro Ruiz (Lourdes) of Hereford, Jesus Fernando Ruiz (Hilda) of Hereford, Ignacio Ruiz of Hereford and Nerio Arturo Ruiz (Patricia) of Chihuahua, Mexico; and her friend Alice Holguin. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home (105 Greenwood St, Hereford, TX 79045). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home (105 Greenwood St, Hereford, TX 79045). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at 736 Brevard St, Hereford, TX 79045. A burial will be held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Park Cemetery (800 Bradley St, Hereford, TX 79045).
