He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Hardy; his daughter Terra Lara; his son-in-law Jasson Lara; his grandchildren, Josalynn Nikkel (Ryan), Pacen Lara (Paloma) and Noah Lara; his great grandchildren, Jaxon Nikkel, Carlee Lara, Baker Nikkel and Gabriel Lara; his siblings, Ronald J. Roberts (Ana), Roy Simms, Kent Simpson, Dieta Hardin (Mark) and Brenda Tiemann (Donny); his sisters-in-law, Paula Lee and Debbie Lee; and his nieces and nephews, Amber Roach, Ashley Lee, Katy, Mickayla, Patrick Lee, Cody Roach, Kesto Simpson, Cody Simpson, Travis Simpson, Shannon Simpson, Joe, Jim, Cliff and Jimmy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home (105 Greenwood St, Hereford, TX 79045). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the West Texas State Veteran Cemetery (4614 E 50th St, Lubbock, TX 79403).
