Violet Jane Kelley Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Violet Jane Kelley of Hereford, Texas, born in Mitchell, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dave Reichert and Sarah Derr Reichert; her husband Clarence D. Kelley; her children, David Kelley and Sherry McKibben; her grandson Michael Kelley; and her siblings, Don Reichert and Judy Krausie.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Cheney (Dean) of Gordonville, Texas and Randy Kelley (Carla) of Lamar, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Shawna King (Kyle), Shayla Jones, Sara Kelley, Amber Kelley, Tabitha Mitchell (Nathan), Robyn Cheney, Cassandra McKibben-McNeil (Jermain McNeil), Jory McKibben (Anne), Nichole McKibben (Mark Richard) and Matthew Kelley; and her son-in-law David McKibben. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
The lying in state was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors (601 Main St, Hereford, TX 79045). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
