It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Yvonne Simpson of Hereford, Texas, born in Big Spring, Texas, who passed away on May 17, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Dwayne Ory and Amelia Ory (Griffice); and her son-in-law John Sliney. She is survived by : her husband Ray Simpson; her children, Carl Simpson of Hereford, Texas, Kim Sliney of Hereford and Janis Artho (David) of Canyon, Texas; her grandchildren, Jamie Liles (Steven) of New Home, Julie Simpson, Jason Schneider of Amarillo, Carlie Prewit (Charlie) of Arlington, Darren Sliney (Irene Kwong) of Issaquah, Kara Sliney (Tristian Neal) of White Oak, Paula Schwertner (Eric) of Bushland, Kayla Talbott (Clint) of Lubbock and Shelly Cresap (Bryan) of Amarillo, Texas; her great grandchildren, Parker, Ryder Grace Liles, Avery Lamar, Quinn Prewit, Jake, Lily Sliney, Layken Neal, Brianna, Katelyn, Gracey Schwertner, Graham, Brady Talbott, Hailey and Ava Cresap; and her siblings, Virginia James, Mary Polk and John Ory.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mendez & Mullins Family Funeral Home (105 Greenwood St, Hereford, TX 79045). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (501 Main St, Hereford, TX 79045). A burial was held on Wednesday, May 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the West Park Cemetery (800 Bradley St, Hereford, TX 79045).

In lieu of Flowers memorials may be sent to the First Methodist Church, 501 Main Street, Hereford, Texas 79045 or the Hereford Pilot Club, P.O. Box 2107, Hereford, Texas.
