Ora Lee McGowan Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on January 1, 2026, at the age of 94, Ora Lee McGowan of Hico, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Ora may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ora touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas McGowan and Ora Lee Barfield McGowan; and her siblings, Catherin Storey, Albert McGowan, Mary Jerome Manning and Thomas McGowan.
She is survived by: her nephew Thomas Storey (Christie). She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your favorite charity or purchase a memorial tree.
