Though Robert David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Robert David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Grady "Buck" Anderson and Robert Bethel Thompson; and his wife Joyce Anderson. He was also cherished by 3 children, 2 daughters-inlaw, 11 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.
He was one of 30 men in the United States to be chosen by National Science Foundation to complete certification for Earth Science.
