He was predeceased by : his parents, Rafael Guerra and Maria Cruz Guerra; his grandparents, Martin and Tomasita Segovia; his mother-in-law Ramona Saenz; his siblings, Hector Guerra, Diana Guerra Muñiz, Maria Belinda Guerra, Maria Candelaria Guerra and Norma Linda Guerra; and his brothers-in-law, Rene Saenz, Rogelio Saenz (Alicia), Leonel Saenz and Fidelio Saenz.
He is survived by : his wife Maria Elda Guerra; his children, Laura Michelle Lopez (Manuel) and Joseph Lee Guerra (Laura); his grandchildren, Dalia Guerra (Evan), Joseph Lee Guerra II and Nicholaus Ali Guerra; his great grandchild Alivia Jade Staley; his siblings, Rafael Guerra (Aracely) and Ana Zepeda (Raymond); and his siblings-in-law, Feliciano Saenz (Virginia), Hermilio Saenz (Norma), Florentino Saenz (Elva), Chris Saenz, Mary Saenz and Brenda Saenz.
