It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gregory L Coker (Highlands, Texas), born in Baytown, Texas, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She would come home from school and talk all about him when they would go to the library. She had a love of books and a strong i urge to learn to read because of him. I can't say enough to thank him for all he has done for her. He was a wonderful man and a beloved teacher and he will be greatly missed.”

“I first met Greg in 1998 at Ben Milam Elementary. He was assigned to my Kindergarten class as an intern, while pursuing a degree in teaching. Our friendship began that day and continued to grow over the years. Greg and I experienced a lot together, both knowing we were always there for each other. I am still in disbelief of his passing.
