It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Floy B Basye of Hillsboro, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Pyburn and Bertha Mae Pyburn (Jones); her husband Gene; her sons, Gary and John Basye; her children-in-law, Theresa Basye and Danny Farquhar; her sister Louise Hines; and her brother-in-law Jack Hines.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Lester Basye, Kevin Paul Basye (Lori), Cathy Jean Farquhar and Floy Nell Erwin (Steve Erwin); her daughter-in-law Melinda Basye; and her sister Pat Owens (Aubrey Owens). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gary's disease progressed quickly, and he contracted pneumonia and Covid, ending up in the hospital and eventually, the nursing home.
Her eldest son, Gary, lived with her for the past several years and did what he could while struggling with Parkinson's disease.
