She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward M. Carr and Ruth Agnes Carr (Dieringer); her husband Billy Joe Schoen, Sr.; and her brother-in-law Mark Ivey. She is survived by: her sons, Billy Schoen, Jr. (Wendy) of Hitchcock and Bryan Schoen (Casey) of Hitchcock; her stepdaughters, Margie Bairaszewski of Seguin, JoAnn Robertson of Bandera and Judy Holbrook (Gary) of Nebraska; and her siblings, Michael Carr (Marie) of Hitchcock, Jimmy Carr (Ann) of Bastrop, Janet Carr Ivey of Crystal Beach and Carol Owens (Clifford) of Santa Fe. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery (7301 Memorial St, Hitchcock, TX 77563).
