He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Johnson and Myrtis Johnson; his close friend Eric Cox; and his pet Cade. He is survived by: his wife Patti Johnson; his children, Mike Chapman of Dickinson, Natalie Johnson of Santa Fe, Michelle Evans of Galveston, Erin Johnson-Perry (Jason) of Webster, Melissa Copeland (Colin) of Baytown and Amanda Garthwaite (Zach) of League City; his sister Brenda L. Johnson-Rush of Santa Fe; his aunt Barbara Ann Johnson-Vautrot; and his pet Lyla. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
