He is survived by: his siblings, Dolores Benavides, Mary Elsa Aguilar (late Domingo), Esperanza B. Hernandez (Albert), MaryLou Garza (Jesse), Belma Benavides (Abran Hernandez), Oscar C. Benavides (late Delia), Erasmo Benavides (Diana) and Ricardo Benavides (Nelida).
