He was predeceased by : his parents, Gregorio Moncada and Anastacia Moncada; his wife Amelia Moncada; and his siblings, Antonio Moncada and Maria Guerra.

He is survived by : his children, Dora Moncada and Gilbert Moncada (Debra); his grandchildren, Anjelica Moncada-Gonzales (Luis), Zacharia Moncada and Benjamin Moncada; and his siblings, Manuel Moncada, Guadalupe Moncada, Juan Moncada, Reyes Lopez, Eugenia Pedroza, Martha Sanchez and Lusia Neuman Rosary.
