She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Floyd Pierce Miles and Sybil Barnhill Miles; her children, William Glenn "Shane" Machen, Kevin Miles Machen (Brenda) of San Antonio, TX and Tara Marie Machen; her grandson Shane Machen; her granddaughter-in-law Mandy Machen of Hondo, TX; her great grandchildren, Glenn Machen and Austin Miles Machen; her great great grandchild Atlas (Jessica Machen Hubbell) of Hondo; her great grandchildren, Cora and Emily; her grandchildren, Louis Glenn Staglik of Baton Rouge, LA and Sybil Staglik of Nashville, TN.; her sisters, Peggy DeGeneres and Mimi; her brother-in-law Johnny DeGeneres of Baton Rouge; her brothers, Floyd "Bubba" Miles of Quitman, LA and Thomas A "Tommy" Wilson; her sister-in-law Patsy of Bossier City, LA.; her sisters, Dorothy Marie Brown and Louise Baxley Tankersly; her child Southern; her grandson Louis Staglik; her great grandchild Austin Machen; her nephew Lance DeGeneres; Trinity. She was also cherished by her family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, Mimi wishes donations be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's home, a cause she consistently supported since the death of her dearest Shane in 1970.
