It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sofia B. Dominguez of Hondo, Texas, who passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eudelia Barrientes and Ildefonso Barrientes; her husband Raul H. Dominguez of Hondo; her children, Diane Dominguez and Raul L. Dominguez; her grandsons, Jacob Dominguez, Francisco Dominguez and Levi Dominguez; her siblings, Lucia Gonzalez, Berta Gonzalez, Candelaria Barrientes, Raoul Barrientes, Oscar Barrientes and Robert Barrientes; and her grandparents, Luciano Barrientes and Celia Uregias Barrientes.
She is survived by: her children, Hector, Ricardo, Jerardo and Carolyn Rodriguez; and her sisters, Elva Gonzales and Irma Guedea. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
