He is survived by: his wife Grace Smith; his children, Boyd Ruel Smith Jr. (Cindy), Marsha Benton (Geary) and Steven Dale Smith (Angie); and his stepdaughters, Marjorie Bestwick (Stewart) and Lamanda Lovelace (Mike). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
