It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Sharon Johnson (Hooks, Texas), born in Santa Monica, California, who passed away on March 29, 2018, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Glendon Johnson, Sr.; and her grandson Kodi Kaleo Scott. She is survived by: her children-in-law, Dennis Shaw, Liz Shaw of Hooks, TX., Earl Glendon Johnson, Jr., Christie Scott of Hooks, TX., Michael Scott of Hooks, TX., Angelia Scott of Hooks, TX., Randy Scott of Hooks, TX. and Leonia Shaw of Texarkana, TX; and her brother James "Jim" De Soto of New Boston, TX. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; plus many beloved friends.

“I have just learned of her passing. I am saddened. We were best friends in 9th grade having both moved to Arkansas from California. We lived across the street from her grandmother. We walked to school together every day. We lost touch when I married and moved to Little Rock but wemwere able to reconnect when I moved to Searcy in 1973. I am filled with happy memories and hope her loved ones will take great comfort in knowing she was special.”
