It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alexander Blanger Jr. of Houston, Texas, who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander, Sr. Blanger and Grace Blanger; his sister Joan Bauer of Bremerton, WA; and his son-in-law Mark Campbell of Warren, OR.. He is survived by: his wife Joan Blanger; his children, Tamra Blanger Evans (Sean) of Farmington, NM, Debra Boyd of Jonestown, TX, Lisa Campbell of Houston, TX, Peggi Sherris (Bob) of Harper, TX, Liana Russell (Jeff) of Houston, TX, Damon Blanger of Newberg, OR and Victor Blanger of Wilsonville, OR; his close friend Joan; Lisa, Peggi, Liana and Damon. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a very large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Rogue Riverkeeper, a group dedicated to Alex's favorite river where he took many white water rafting trips with family and friends and/or to The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, where he received the majority of his care for the last couple of years.
