She was predeceased by: her parents, Matilde Vergara and Fidel Vergara Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Lazaro Gutierrez; her sons, Heriberto (Laura), Ezequiel (Sandra) and Daniel (Christina); her siblings, Fidel Jr. Vergara (Ruth), Jaime Vergara, Maria Tapia (Juan), Ruth Chavez and Noemi Castilleja (John); and her grandchildren, Gabriella, Caleb, Nathan, Emily, Morgan, Julian, Joviano and Elyjah.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the South Main Baptist Church (4100 Main St, Houston, TX 77002).
