He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Benedict Looney; his daughter Jacqueline Michele Looney Wright; his stepchildren, Kerry Lynne Smith and Christopher Kyle Benedict; his granddaughters, Nicole Michele and Jessica Nancy Wright; and his stepgrandchildren, Courtney Marie Smith and John Louis Smith III.
