We announce the death of Bruce Sebastian Cruz (Houston, Texas), who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 36. Bruce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his brother Cat Adam Villarreal; and his grandparents, Paula Villarreal, Alfred Cruz, Sr. and Annie Cruz. He is survived by: his parents, David Cruz and Eva Martinez; his siblings, David Cruz (Maria Cruz), Jonathan Cruz, Paula Garcia, Kristie Hernandez (Adam Hernandez), Vivian Cabrera (Jason Cabrera) and Dominique Cruz; and his grandfather Catarino Villarreal. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; as well as many other family members and a host of dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Compean Funeral Home (2102 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77012). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery (6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023).
