He is survived by: his mother Johnnie Mae Crosby-Thomas; his spouse Katty Makkar; his son Darnell Love Thomas; his siblings, Norris Thomas (Tammy), Linda Maple (David), Mamie Washington, Stanley Primes, Lisa Primes, Anthony Primes (Pam), Jimmy Thomas Jr. (Kimberly) and Justin Thomas; his grandchildren, Jarvis, Jatarvis, Janaiya, JayLa and Jamion; his pet Lady; his caregiver Rhonda Staiano; and his cousin Jerry Allen. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church (7400 N Wayside Dr, Houston, TX 77028). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:15 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
