She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Avendano and John Paul Mendizabal Sr.; and her siblings, Arthur, Mary Lou, Juliet and John Paul Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Matthew (Yvonne) and Marisa (Michael); and her grandchildren, Sebastian, Josiah and Azalea.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Vazquez Funeral Home (1805 Huge Oaks St, Houston, TX 77055).
